World Barefoot Center — Local services in Winter Haven

This is an awesome place! I've always wanted my daughters to be able to barefoot. They were excited to learn but apprehensive. From the moment we arrived everyone was friendly and welcoming. The girls really liked our instructor Ashleigh and videographer Kelly. They are personable, fun and put everyone at ease. Ashleigh is a barefoot teaching Yoda. We accomplished more in a half day than I would have ever thought possible. She saved us so much time and frustration with her keen eye and expertise.

Everything was top notch from the suits we rented to the boat and facility itself, clean and appealing. Water was perfect, we were the only boat on the lake. Swampy was great and set us up with really nice accomodations. Had the pleasure of meeting Ben who was with a group of impressive kids who were staying at the facility. They all introduced themselves shook hands and looked you in the eye. There's a lot of good things about WBC.

They also had some other fun watersports we would liked to have done but were out of time.

This is the place to learn to barefoot ski or to train to be the next world champion. I learn new tricks faster and easier at World Barefoot Center. They drive interactively and precisely like you wish your friends would do at home. You get the right start, the right speed, the right boat path, perfect glass water shorelines and spot on feedback from the coach. It is fun to have other footers in the boat to hang out with. Many of the best competitors in the world come here to train for weeks at a time. They match me in the boat with people of similar abilities so I can learn from watching. Incredible how easy it was for WBC to teach my daughter!!

I’ve been on the water virtually all my life and barefooting for over 40 years but when it comes to teaching my daughter how to barefoot I wanted to make sure it was safe and fun. The crew at WBC does an incredible job with us utilizing the seahorse Ride on the boom really reduced her anxiety and fears. Shortly after that, she was taking off on little shoe skis and now she wants to go back and learn more along with her friends. What a great way to teach anyone new to barefooting, it’s an incredible feeling to glide across the water on your feet, and this takes all of the fear and anxiety and hard falls out of the way.
