BUYER BEWARE* I am very very unhappy with Seminole Farm Nursery's ethics and trees. 6 weeks ago, i placed 1 lemon and 2 limes trees from this nursery on the side to pick up within two days time. They were gone, sold to someone else when they had my name on them. Since I had someone with a truck with me to pick up the trees, I chose three more. They were the runts of the litter, and not particularly healthy when I purchased them, but I thought I could nurture them... NOW 6 weeks latter after taking care of them like they were my children, they are very very sick...possibly from the drench they were exposed to. I spoke with Jim directly simply asking for a credit. He remembered I was there as I spoke with him directly the day I purchased the trees. Jim refused to make good on the trees, a credit; as I threw away the receipt...I threw it away as I trusted his trees would be healthy. BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS FARM!!! "Addendum" I placed fish emulsion, liquid silica and molasses within a gallon of water and have worked with each tree several times. Im novice when it comes to plants at best. Too many names and specifics to remember anything.. but THIS nursery was amazing!!! HUGE location and TONS of options! Not only is there inventory completely free of pesticides but the staff was INCREDIBLY knowledgeable to every species. I went to Lukas(?) In Oviedo the day before and left empty handed after paying 40 for 4 of us to check out the butterfly exhibit. The first 2 members of staff at Lukas were just as clueless as I was(needed specific plants to add to a bioactive bearded dragon enclosure) and the last person to help me told me EVERYTHING there was treated with pesticides. Today I stopped at this location after many calls to growers to learn they are pesticide free and INCREDIBLY knowledgeable. I even got guidance and advice to grow and raise my own feeder greens. If youre a plant person.. dont walk.. run to this location! I promise you wont be disappointed!! Lucky me to have South Seminole Farm & Nursery location less than 10 mins away. I visited the nursery today looking for camelias after recommendation from a friend who mentioned that they had a great selection, and they do, they have a section in the back which they call Camelias City. My complain and frustration was when I got the register to pay for the plants and they wanted to change me $65 for a plant that had a $35 price tag. Their explanation was that the plant grew up and they never replaced the tag. The other camelia I was buying didn't even have a tag and the was no sign on the area to know anyways. Under normal circumstances a business with fair customer service would have honored the price on their tag since it was their fault anyways. This business did not and as result I left the 3 plants I was looking to purchase, almost $200 worth. I drove 10 miles to get to this place and had to spent quite some time looking through the plants in the section under this unforgiven summer heat because the plants are missing labels and as you can see they are not even tagged with correct prime.
