✨Welcome to Great Smoky Mountain National Park ✨ Have you been before? Let me know your favorite spot in the comments and I’ll put it on my list for next time!! My hot tip: stay in Bryson City. The town is perfect starting point for your adventures and isn’t quite as hectic as Gatlinburg. Keep in mind, GSMNP isn’t dog friendly in most areas, BUT Bryson City is close to a bunch of things to do with your furry friend outside the park. Here are some hikes we hit up with Ollie: - Tsali Branch Loop - Waterrock Knob - Mingo Falls - Soco Falls Save for your next trip to the Smokies!! If you’re here from reels, follow me for more ↠ @catescompass #greatsmokymountains #greatsmokeymountains #greatsmokymountainsnationalpark #greatsmokies #nationalparks #nationalparkgeek #nationalparkservice #northcarolinaoutdoors #northcarolinamountains

Beautiful park and hike. You park in the very small parking lot and walk down to the falls. For those wanting an easier hike, you can go to the outlook, see below your view from their versus the little more adventurous hike down to the bottom of the actual falls. This hike is downhill with ropes to help you and big rocks. It is a little steep and challenging, but even our least experienced hiker was able to do it. If you can do it, it is definitely worth it (See pics). If not, there is also an easier trail that leads to the river that flows into the falls that you can wade into.

Awesome easy access water fall for small children to still mobile elderly. Small decline down with some loose stone/dirt to the viewing area. For some slightly more experienced (I emphasize slightly as the descent/and acenst on the rocks is rather easy) you can climb approx 30-40' down to the base of the falls for a better view. Plus as an added bonus travelers have rigged grab ropes to help with the climb. It's too easy and too...

This is an absolutely gorgeous place to stop that features a fall with a drop of 120 ft.. There is a nice viewing deck area that is not too hard to get to If you're stable. If you try to get down to the water it is a little sketchy it can be done if you are careful. The parking area is small so take your time if you have a larger...
