Dollar General — Local services in Wood Heights

Absolutely terrible experience. The poor kid at the register had to wait for several minutes for the manager on duty after his repeated attempts to enter a coupon failed. The manager on duty made one very half-hearted attempt to enter the coupon, then said "It's (the p.o.s.?) Not letting us take coupons." I find it very hard to believe that the p.o.s. would reject a standard Dollar General coupon, but what's worse is that the manager on duty made no attempt to solve the problem by price override or any other method, and didn't even offer my coupon back. I will NOT be shopping here again! You need to pay your employees enough to CARE...

DG often rearranges their store for better marketing. Upon entering this store today it looked clean and streamlined. I go there to buy toilet tissue. The best price anywhere.

Rule of thumb: look at the total sq ft. It should be a penny or less per s.f. DG $1 six pack is 117 sq.ft. therefore, any price under $1.17 is a good price. Unfortunately with shrinkflation, this tissue is now single ply although they haven't reprinted...

The folks who work there are always friendly and helpful. If there is a long line, you see another employee drop what they are doing and immediately start checking folks out. The only thing this Dollar General doesn't have that I wish it did was Sunday beer sales, and you cant fault the front line employees for that. Keep up...
