After Saturday actions by the owners wife in doubt you'll ever have a race as big as did this past weekend the way she spoke to Kelsey young is not acceptable. Just letting all the fans know how close the race Saturday was close to not happening. Drivers and sponsors was ready leave. Heres how went down.I normally wont post anything negative about a race track but this is completely unacceptable. This is the wife of the owner of the race track we attended this weekend to cover a benefit race for a little girl battling cancer. This was posted about a very good friend of ours who spent over a year arranging this race. She raised most of the money through sponsorships and donations and even arranged for a whole touring group to show up to the track making this probably the biggest event in the tracks history. She did such a good job that current and potential sponsors were already approaching her for future events. On Saturday we arrived at the track and was talking to our friend when the person who posted the above came out and started yelling at her saying she was banned from being a part of the event and wouldnt be allowed to even be on the infield during it. It wasnt until us and several drivers and sponsors approached the track management and threatened to revoke our coverage and sponsorship. Considering we were the only live media on site, they quickly changed things and allowed things to be the way they should have been. We were not going to mention the ordeal at all, however, this was posted today. Like I said, normally we won't publicize these things and I'm sure we are going to catch a lot of hell for it but something needs to change. Bad promoters/track owners need to realize that these actions are not right. We as a media organization will not return to this track ever again in the future as long as they are still under the current management. It's a damn shame because the Racing was great and the entire track staff and even the owner were great. But this one person's actions have ruined it for everyone. We not only donated our own money to help sponsor the event but we also came and provided the only live coverage of the event completely free of charge. A trip that cost us at least $1000 out of our own pocket.
If anyone has an issue with this, please reach out to me...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI took my son here cause he is really into cars and I thought he might like it. It was really disappointing . As for the racing itself it was pretty decent. There were a lot of stops, but that happens. They started 30 mins late though,I went to the concession stand and it was disgusting, very dirty inside. I donāt think their hot plate has ever been cleaned. Also there was a little girl sitting in the window of the concession stand playing with the pickles that people were putting on their burgers, very gross. Also they make you stand and I thought it would be for the national anthem and they say a prayer. I didnāt like that, itās unnecessary. Also there were a lot of people in the crowd cursing, acting inappropriately, there were kids everywhere including my own. I guess saying that prayer before the race didnāt work. Iāll never go here again....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food is great ā the BBQ nachos are especially amazing. The track surface is always well-prepared and produces good racing, and thereās plenty of space for kids to play. For convenience, you can also pay $5 to park on the hill so you donāt have to climb it.
Seating is neither great nor terrible; youāll need lawn chairs since youāre sitting on a hill. Finding a level spot can sometimes be tricky, and it may feel like youāre sliding downhill.
On the downside, getting from the pits and fan parking to the track feels like a hike up Mt. Everest ā itās tough even on an ATV or in a car. The view of the track can also be obstructed at times, since there arenāt traditional stands. Kids playing, people walking, or fans standing can easily block your line of sight.
Overall, itās a nice track with good racing, but donāt expect too...
