Saturday June 26th we had 12ppl playing in the afternoon. 6 of us started in the bar area to have lunch and a couple of cocktails. Menus were brought to us immediately but it took over 15 minutes for someone to come over and get our drink and food order and we had to flag someone down for that. Staff was friendly got us what we needed finally. Now the course has a few rough spots on it but they had them roped off for the most part. The greens are in excellent condition. But the experience of a 5 star course fell short with service and the hype of a full service course. It probably was one of the hottest days in June scorching over 105 degrees. There were water stations on the course but a couple of them were out water bottles. There was a Marshall out on the course but only saw him twice and just on the front 9. The cart girl, although was nice, complained she wasn’t feeling well and was leaving early. I get it it was hot. But here’s what really bugged me. We made the turn stopped to get more water and ice and maybe a snack or something to eat. There were no staff anywhere to be seen. NO WATER NO ICE Snack Bar wasn’t open. I’ve been here before and had top notch service. Clubs got wiped down when you made the turn. Staff was present and helpful and friendly. This was one of the reasons we came to this course because of how friendly and courteous the staff was. For the price we paid it just fell short of the great experience and hype of Yocha Dehe. I hope things get better but probably won’t recommend our group of 12 coming back anytime soon.
Follow up: Owner of Yocha Dehe contacted us and apologized for the experience we received. They want to assure that this is not their standards and we understood completely. Our group also appreciated the quick response of Yocha Dehe and making sure our future visits will not be our last. Once again thank you Yocha Dehe for your concerns and the quick response of your team. We will...
Read moreOnce you are on the course, I give it 5 star-golf. I wouldn't call it a great "value" since it was more expensive than Spanish, Harding Park, and Poppy around the same time/day of week.... but this one is in the same field as the other 3 (albeit at a higher price point). I only gave it 3 stars due to my experience with the sales manager/tournament manager: Tony. I run a golf league with 8 or so tournaments a year. We are casual and just trying to get 6-8 foursomes on the books on a weekend at any time.
Tony started out over a year ago fairly unresponsive to my mutliple emails requesting availability for outings, which is not unusual in my experience for a golf course. But as I followed up and got responses, he later became completely uncooperative in my request of trying to get 32 golfers out there on a Fri, Sat, or Sun. All I heard on multiple emails and a phone call were lessons on supply and demand and how busy the course is and how many tourneys they get a year... yet the next 4+ weekends are wide open for a group my size... Unfortunately, out of roughly 75 courses I have dealt with between California and Arizona, this course has been my worst experience from a tournament director point of view. It really just felt as if he wanted no business at all. Just a very odd and unusual experience in my opinion.
Still... the course alone is worth a play if you can make a trip out of it. I just warn those trying to schedule a...

Played on a busy Saturday afternoon with high expectations but left thoroughly disappointed, especially given the high green fees and reputation.
The course itself was in great shape, which is the only positive. Unfortunately, the overall experience missed the mark in several key ways:
No Food or Drink Service After 4:00 PM We were told at the turn that all concessions were closed. There was no prior notice, and this left us without any access to water, snacks, or restrooms during the back nine in 97-degree heat. On a fully booked Saturday, that is unacceptable.
No Restroom Access With the clubhouse and services shut down by the time we finished, there were no available restrooms. That goes beyond inconvenience and becomes a comfort and health issue.
Logistical Hassles I was required to park up the hill due to a full lot. After five hours in the heat, I had to hike back up with my gear, return the cart separately, and was told by a staff member that I could go to the casino to freshen up. That meant driving over, finding parking again, and hoping for access to a bathroom. Not what you expect from a so-called resort experience.
I drove a long way and paid a premium to play here, but with this level of service and planning, I will not...
