I don't often have Saturdays to myself, so I decided to use my Saturday paintballing. I had not been to Redfox in a few years, but I had remembered it was really fun. Anyways, I almost missed the entrance at first due to the sign looking like a piece of trash on the side of the road. Once I parked, I headed over to the only building in the area. It was a run down looking building. I was surprised with the prices, as they seemed a bit expensive, but I shrugged that off, since I would be allowed to play the entire day. After receiving my marker and mask, I found myself a bench to set my stuff at. I didn't know where to go, so I attempted to ask a ref, but was completely ignored. I finally found where I was supposed to be, and began to head over to my first game...around 25 to 30 min after I had arrived. After the first game, I was very disappointed with the quality of both my rental marker and mask. The marker was extremely inaccurate. I probably would have been better off throwing my paintball at my target. The mask's lens was so scratched up that it made seeing very difficult. Anyways, we continued on with our day. Unfortunately, our ref was very immature, and seemed to be only focused on keeping her employment there. Instead of moving the time between the games more quickly, she took her sweet time to raise her voice at our group, and declare she was an atheist (at a Christian establishment, if I recall...) and overall wasting our play time. It bothered me because I spent good money to play as many games as I could, and here was the ref wasting our time. Furthermore, the playing stages could be a bit more well kept. And finally, the tipping point for me...I was told I could keep my equipment at our benchesite as we went out to play, as they would be safe. After the final game of the day, I returned to my bench to take home my whole bag of paintball I had left. Someone had stolen my paint. All of it. I had spent serious money on paint and someone had stolen it. This was a mistake on my part for listening to the employees there. The only reason I give this 3 stars is because despite all that garbage, I did have a fun time. My group was full of awesome guys just wanting to have fun, and the games the the ref actually ALLOWED us to finish...
Read moreI’m not sure where to begin, but I’ll start here, Red Fox has become severely run down through the years and needs either some major work, or to be shut down. Their website flat out lies about prices and payment methods, so if you’re planning to go for some unknown reason, be sure to take quite a bit more money than their website states. For example, their website states “cash only” however, they do accept card, the attendant said, “we’ve accepted it for awhile, but we don’t update the site because we don’t want people to know.” This goes for their price to play as well. Next, the equipment is terrible and is barely functional, so if you’re someone who doesn’t bring their own gear, don’t waste your time and money, and go somewhere else. The facility states that the guns need to be chronographed at 270fps, however, the guns they rent out, as well as what people bring in are much above this limit. Combined with improperly maintained equipment and the subpar paint you HAVE to buy a ridiculously marked up rate, this equipment will draw blood from and cause injury to players here. Building off the unsafe environment, the fields you’ll play on are poorly kept and rated for around 15-20 players. Red Fox will commonly place around 40-50 players per field with one referee. People will cheat and constantly be ignorant to those around them, causing an extremely unsafe environment. Certain players will even target women in areas that were prohibited by the poor referring before play. We weren’t even able to finish one game without issues, I typically bring my own gear, but had to use a mask from Red Fox for our games today. We couldn’t even get a single game in and they would refuse to refund any money, so we simply wound up 60 dollars in debt. Something needs to be done about this shady business practice, and do anyone reading this, do not come here for any...
Read moreRed Fox Games has a good selection of playing fields, but I found the customer service and interaction with staff to be disappointing. Regarding the fields, make sure you have enough paint and air for several games when you go out to play a game. Otherwise, you'll be making a long walk back and you'll waste a lot of time. The paintball games we played were enjoyable, but a lot of time was wasted sitting around waiting for other groups to finish using a playing area, waiting for the guide/ref to communicate the rules of the game, and waiting for air tanks to be refilled. Because they do not use or refill CO2 tanks, the rental air tanks run out of air quickly. This was new to me but many of the rentals had to be refilled 3 times in one day.
The professionalism of the staff is my main concern. To begin, the owner is downright rude, quick to judge, and verbally abusive. It's important to communicate clearly to large groups, but his methods are just unnecessary. Furthermore, some of the staff seem to have picked up the owner's communication tactics. Our guide, Barry, often erupted in anger toward younger players, and his rude, crass comments toward players were unnecessary. By the end of the day, I became embarrassed that Red Fox Games' website calls their business "Christian." I struggle to find this type of "Christianity" anywhere in my Bible. I enjoyed the experience, but the customer service here...
