I walked into this store today with $600 in my pocket. There were some amazing tools in there, and I was definitely interested in. After sometime, I finally got someone to ask a question. I think it was the proprietor. I asked what I thought were three simple questions and got a snide responses to all three questions: 1. Do you have a number 4 1/2 Stanley plane? (A) Yeah, they’re back there. 2. The One I’m interested in is $175. Do you have any wiggle room? (A) No, we’re not a flea market. 3. Is the blade sharp? (A) Absolutely not we don’t sharpen for free. I have bought tools all over the USA. I was actually looking forward to visiting this place after having seen pictures from inside. The owner of this store accosted me within minutes of entering the establishment asking if I was there because of Chris. I asked Chris who? He then began to speak down to me and the tool dealer I was with. If he was not talking down to us he was bragging about this and that and kept dropping the name Chris....not sure who he was talking about.

Very pleased with my first visit. Took in a number of old woodworking tools to exchange for some new (to me) blacksmithing tools. Dan and I had a good talk about his pricing philosophy (both for buying and selling), and I am confident that he neither underpaid me for what I was selling nor overcharged for what I bought. The selection was very good, ranging from solid, basic tools to more unusual specialist items.
