On our first visit to The Cabin Store, we were greeted by Jr. as we first walked in the door. While walking through the store and looking at their amazing stock items, other employees would occasionally ask us if we had any questions about anything in the store. Everyone made us feel at home. We left and went to some other furniture stores in the area, although the other stores also had some beautiful furniture… none of them was as personable and friendly as The Cabin Store. After that day, our decision as to where we should buy furniture for our cabin was an easy one… The Cabin Store! Robert was very attentive to all of our wishes and wants and was even very patient with all of our changes in what we actually decided on. I didn’t catch the name for the lady at the main counter but she, Robert, Jr., Dave, and Carolyn are amazing people to do business with and to just be around. Their willingness to work with us on every step of our process from picking out furniture, making personalized changes, paying, and helping us load everything… they are second to none!!! My wife Terri and I highly recommend that anyone looking for furniture for their home to stop at The Cabin Store. Trust me when I say this, they have more furniture then you can think of and lots of unique items that you wouldn’t think of. We literally furnished our entire log cabin...
Read moreFirst time in the store with no plans to buy anything. J.R. met us before we made it in the door. A couple good laughs, and into the store looking around. We were taken back by the quality and one off furnishings. We did a once through, then again and J R found us again The next thing I know we are redesigning nightstands for our bedroom. From there we loved a one off reclaimed barn beamed bed. My wife wanted that bed with changes to the headboard design. JR said he would make the changes to bed as she wanted without hesitation. Remember this a one off bed he is making changes to that bed NOT building a different bed. After giving my wife a granola bar and a bottle of water. He made some quick drawings of the bed and nightstand changes. A little down payment. Now waiting for a call for pick up and a steak dinner on his outdoor grill. Ourselves,J.R., Marilyn and the whole staff enjoyed some great conversation with a lot of laughter. Instant friends. We have bought furniture from 11 Amish stores in Holmes County and we have never dealt with anyone more accommodating than J.R. . Do yourself a favor and shop here. Some folks have commented on high pricing. Not sure what planet they come from. But the prices are very good. Remember most of these pieces are ONE off ( hand made) not production furnishings. We couldn’t...
Read moreThis shop has enormous magical furniture made from reclaimed barn wood. There are antlers, hides, twisted roots of trees, gnarled and wildly fascinating textures in almost every piece. This is definitely the place where Papa Bear gets his custom made bed and favorite chair. I think you'd have to have a very large home and several strong men to get this stuff inside. But if you did, I think this furniture would be so well loved and certainly sturdy enough to last a few generations. It's a wonderful place to go even if you're not shopping. The craftsmanship is...
