Jay's Ace Hardware — Local services in Wrens

Never in my life have I experienced the type of hospitality that I was shown by the wonderful people at this Ace hardware store and a couple of strangers in Wrens, GA. Passing through, I had a tire blow-out, all tire shops were closed for the weekend and a tow truck was over an hour away. I was over 2 hours away from home, so had no choice but to wait. To make matters worse, the tow truck would only have room for 2 people and we had 4 people, including a 4 year old. The good people in this Ace not only allowed us to wait in the store, but they bought us water and bought candy and Popsicles and kept my 4 year old entertained. A very nice man who happened to pass by came and loaned us a spare tire so we could go to Augusta and get a new tire. This experience really showed me how loving and caring people are. This is a great store! The staff are always on the ball to assist you in finding whatever you need - and they have just about anything you could need! We ran in to grab something super quick one Friday last December and before we were done, Santa came out to visit with my son and take pictures! I'm new to the area and recieved coupons in the mail for this location. Even though I don't like the prices at Ace hardware. I decided to use the coupon and purchase items that I needed to paint the bathroom. When I was checking out the cashier told me that the coupons didn't work. I purchased the items but I won't be going back. That's false advertisement and not a very nice way to welcome someone to town. And none of the items...
