A must-stop spot when driving Hwy 296 – Chief Joseph Scenic Byway – heading north from Cody WY toward Cooke City or Red Lodge MT. It was a beautiful day when we stopped here in August 2022. Take the time to walk around and enjoy the spectacular view and read the historical information.

Super windy at the top so don't plan on having a picnic! Awesome view and drive. One of the lanes had literally fallen off the side of the mountain, which was crazy, but it was well-marked. Great way to head back east after visiting...
