Save A Lot — Local services in Youngstown

Not a horrible store. Not as good as some other save a lots but the people are friendly and they are getting a better selection every day.

Hello, thanks for responding to my rating on Google maps.

I think your save-alot store is great, I shop there exclusively and I probably spend about $2,000 a month in both cash and stamps in your store.

First, I would just like to say that the store looks great after the renovations, and I've noticed that your selection has gotten better recently in carrying some name brand items items, i.e. Philadelphia cream cheese etc.

The only real issues I have with the store is some basic things were lacking for example: the store didn't have basic baking stuff like unsweetened coco or yeast until very recently and I see you have got that covered.

Secondly, the carts! I hate those shopping carts so much! I understand you save money by not having to pay someone to gather carts but it's incerdibly annoying to have to break a bill to get a cart or if I have no change on me.

I've actually left the store and went to sparkle down the street because I didn't have a quarter to get a cart and it's impossible to handle $300 in groceries without a cart.

The staff are usually pretty cool if I don't have change but sometimes, depending on who is there or if the store is busy there is no extra carts.

At very least, I would suggest some carrying baskets or something.

Other than the carts, improved selection would be appreciated.

I also appreciate the security guard(s). It's nice to see them...

Stood at the bakery counter. Where two women were speak to each, walked past me without acknowledging me. While another young lady was on the phone, also ignored my presence. I went to the prepared food department. I rang the bell for service when I returned to the bakery, one of the young women in the back, walked by and looked at me and kept walking. young lady on phone still did not acknowledge me. She seemed to have an attitude because I rang the bell, and still took a minute to finally acknowledging me. When she finally did come to help me, she wasn't paying attention to what I was asking for. IGA is my go-to for birthday cakes. I don't usually have issues. I hope this just happened to be "one...

The store was rearranged and very clean. The produce was stocked and fresh . The meat was also well stocked and fresh by dates on pkgs and the prices were great and for Save A Lot the selection was impressive. The employee s were very friendly today. Also kind and helpful when O asked where bread crumbs were he walked me to them. My only thing that concerns me is that particular store never hardly is busy but today freshness wasn't a concern. My chicken was bagged with my lettuce but my cashier was young and Rome wasn't built in a day. She'll learn. I'll remind her not to do it that way next time I see her there. I would call but she may get in trouble n not learn to keep...
