Was shopping this store at 1500 Bonin Rd Youngsville La and ran into the same problem that I have from time to time there. Some of the sale items were exactly what I needed and then I also picked up some other items. I generally tend to shop at a store when it's on the way from somewhere. So here I am at the register and the grapes that were on sale ring up at $2?? / lb but they were on sale at $1.47/lb. The cashier said that these were premium red seedless. I told him that I didn't want it at that price and to take it off my purchase. So that was the 1st one of the items that I originally had stopped for. Then he rang up the peaches that were also on sale at $1.47/lb. They ran up also over $2/lb (can't remember exactly what the amount was because at that time I'm realizing that I am not going to get the 2nd one of the items that I made that stop for. Mind you I had probably $100 worth of groceries in my buggy but I was just getting started. This is not the 1st time I have noticed pricing issues at this store. I just pushed my buggy up to the service desk and told them they could keep the food. I started to walk away but changed my mind because that wouldn't accomplish anything. So I went back and asked for a manager. The person at the front desk said that all of the managers were in a meeting. A meeting on Sunday right before Memorial Day and there was no manager to listen to my complaint. I was fuming then. So I proceeded to explain to the young person at the front desk what had just happened and how as consumers we shouldn't have to constantly be on the lookout to make sure that we were getting the price that was advertised. I was so ticked off that I told him if I ever came back to shop at that store that they shouldn't serve me because I must have lost my mind (there was an explicative at that moment). Thank God I just walked away then and didn't continue to give a piece of my mind to the individual behind that desk. I used to work in the retail grocery industry years ago and I can tell you what I experienced at that store not just this time but repeated times is all I need to keep my promise and never go back into that store. I ask to get the Rx transferred to a different location because we cannot wait that long and with an eye roll am told to have someone call with the Rx request before 2:00. Mind you this is anti-seizure medication for my dog which she is dependent upon. Super 1 recently sold to Walgreens and now this is a Walgreens pharmacy so I contact Walgreens at a different location with longer hours and am told they canโt locate the Rx because itโs a competitor pharmacy. I place a call back to this location inside Super 1 for advice.. itโs 1:59p. The line rings and rings, no answer and line goes dead. I call back. Now itโs 2:00 and my call โcanโt be transferred because the pharmacy is closed.โ So that means they heard the phone ringing, expecting it to be a pharmacy requesting transfer and they let it go unanswered. I am now without meds for my dog and hopes and prayers we donโt end up in the ER thanks to the very unprofessional customer service at this location. Would not...
ย ย ย Read moreI like the layout of the store. Unfortunately, the prices are too inconsistent. I had a few disappointing encounters with rude cashiers and key holders, so I donโt shop here anymore. The last straw was a cashier who got an attitude with me because one of my items didnโt move down the conveyor belt. She totaled the order and noticed it after. I was paying via Apple Pay and putting my bags in the cart. She asked me if the item was mine and I responded yes. Keep in mind, I had not noticed the item stuck behind. She rolled her eyes and said โweโll do you want itโ. It happened to be a part of a sale. I had to explain to her that ringing it up separately would not give me credit for the sale since a certain quantity had to be purchased to qualify. The key holder/manager was aggravated. She thought I wanted to cancel the entire sale. I just wanted to get the sale by having all items on the same ticket. This took about 15 minutes...
