I liked the hombre selling the produce, so I want to give him 2 stars for being pleasant, but he lied about the produce. I stopped because I saw a sign that said avocados, he acted like I should know that they don't cuz they're not in season on memorial weekend. I was tapping my melons and he said, I didn't need to do that because they were all ripe and delicious, and they weren't even close. I was really excited about the crenshaw melon, but that was bland and boring as a Kroger cantelope. The watermelon seemed to be of the varietal that has been made famous on social media for having a rubber quality to them, it was quite bland and was mildly rubbery and went rancid the next day. This place is run by a very sweet and friendly man. He is so proud of his vegetables and fruit and rightly so. I bought some of his Sugar Kiss and Summer Kiss melons and they were to die for. They were so juicy and fresh off the vine. Wow, I never ever had melons taste like that from my local grocery store. I was there visiting for the winter and I am going to be going back there many times until it is time for me to return home to my northern State of Idaho. Gonzalez Produce has fresh and inexpensive fruits and vegetables. Rodolfo Gonzalez has been running this stand for a few years now. He is very friendly, and knowledgeable on his produce.
