Sonlit Retreats — Local services in Yutan

For Christmas this year my wife and I had a very pleasant and relaxing 2 days at Sonlit. We were the only guests, in fact we only saw 1 other person during our stay and that was a cheerful young lady that greeted us and showed us around and made us feel welcomed. Everything was so beautifully decorated, clean, well provisioned. We loved everything from the coffee bars to the well stocked library, to the heated sauna. We enjoyed nature walks and then cozying up on a couch with a hot drink to read. We did puzzles and made s'mores. Our room was comfortable and we loved the walk in shower. I used two "Day Passes" at Sonlit Retreats as a getaway since with young children I was unable to do overnights. It was a marvelous blessing and rejuvenating experience. From the amenities they offer to the small ways in which they intentionally make room and space for rest and quiet, Sonlit Retreats was exactly what I needed and hoped for.

If you don't have the ability to do overnights, their Day Passes are just as worthwhile. I loved having the freedom to spend quiet time inside, in the sun room, on a bench by the Platte, walking the lake, laying in a hammock or experiencing the prayer labyrinth. Sonlit retreats was the perfect place for me to go to try to discern what God wants for me in this next stage of life (retirement). I stayed in the Serenity Shack and it had absolutely everything I needed! The bed and pillows were especially comfortable! They had all the supplies to make my own campfire. I loved the outside bench that just flipped up to be a table. And the grounds were beautiful! I enjoyed doing the prayer labyrinth, kayaking on the lake, sitting by the Platte River at sunset, and walking all the way around the lake.
