If I could leave a 6/5 star review I would. A couple years ago I was found to have two different types of brain tumors, which sent our family down the rabbit hole of healthy eating and brain and gut health connection. We thought we were healthy. Bought chicken from giant eagle and steaks from Costco. After a lot of research, we learned we needed to go directly to the source and it’s been life changing.

Every interaction with Seven Sons has been incredible. Not only is the process always smooth, but every other Sunday night, my favorite event is going through our personal inventory and seeing which meats we are going to have delivered that week. This is nothing like Hello Fresh nor Home Chef. This is just having the healthiest meats delivered directly to you and you taking it from there. It’s worth it.

Besides feeling better from a lifestyle change, not simply calling it a diet, the most noticeable difference is the actual taste of the chicken and the steaks. There’s seriously no comparison from the “organic” chicken we bought from Costco and this chicken. This year more than ever we have heard about what’s done to our food and how unhealthy some of it is. Our family is two years into this journey and Seven Sons has been an instrumental part and our health improvement. For us it took a dramatic life event and it’s why it’s worth the time to write a long review. 10 minutes to show our thankfulness of bringing my health to a place I can better serve my family and be a healthier father for my kids.

I just placed my very first order with Seven Sons Farm—and wow, I’m absolutely thrilled! As a household of one who primarily eats chicken and occasionally red meat, I had a few concerns going in. My tiny upright freezer doesn’t offer much space, and I wasn’t sure how much I could realistically store. But after speaking with their incredibly helpful Customer Care Specialist, all my questions were answered with patience and care.

When my order arrived, I was genuinely blown away. The packaging was top-notch, but what impressed me most was how each item was individually vacuum-sealed in clear wrap. It felt like they had portioned everything just for me—thoughtful, efficient, and perfect for my lifestyle.

And then, a couple of weeks later, I received a surprise follow-up call from Sarah. Her kindness and genuine interest in how everything went made me feel truly valued. We chatted about the delivery, the products, and I couldn’t help but rave about the chicken drumsticks. I don’t usually buy drumsticks, but they came free with my order—and let me tell you, they were tender, flavorful, and bigger than anything I’ve seen in grocery stores!

Needless to say, I’ve already signed up for a subscription. I love that I can pause or skip deliveries whenever I need to. It’s flexible, convenient, and tailored to real life.

Let’s just say—I’m doing a little “happy dance” over here 💃. After a year of researching sustainable farms, Seven Sons came out on top as my personal “winner winner chicken dinner.” Their commitment to quality and customer care is unmatched. My first order went well. I will absolutely buy again/I have subscribed. I experienced a shipping delay that slowed the order down a full day and a bit, but everything still arrived fully frozen. One of the items in my order was wrong, but customer service was incredibly responsive -- fast, kind, informative, they had options for me and it got sorted to my satisfaction immediately with zero hassle. Their customer service is honestly AMAZING. As for the food? This is the tastiest and nicest quality meat I've ever had. I also like the packaging that makes it super easy to see what I'm grabbing from the freezer and how much of it. I love how forward/honest/transparent and educational Seven Sons is about everything they offer and why. And I LOVE the flexibility of the subscription options. Not just the timing options of when to ship (which are great!), but the choices of what items you can order and how much. You can customize your order A TON at any point super easily, and if you're a small family like we are (2 adults), you DON'T have to make a huge order to get the free shipping to kick in like you do with some other subscription services. The convenience, care, and deliciousness of the Seven Sons offerings means I can't see myself giving up my subscription any time soon.

My ONE CRITIQUE is less a critique and more a request: Duck. As delicious as the chicken is and as neat as it is to have turkey offerings around Thanksgiving, I might jump for joy if y'all started offering duck. And/or partnered with someone for duck eggs. Duck is DUCKIN' GOOD, y'all, but if I can even FIND it at grocery stores near me, I'm not guaranteed quality or that it's been raised with a quality life, etc. GET SOME DUCK IF YOU CAN!
