Hello, everyone. The worst airport that I've ever been. The service is terrible, moreover people are rude. I want to highlight one cafe, where the service was really awful and mean, that is located on the second floor of the airport, terminal 2, International flight. The name of the cafe is CAFE & FASTFOOD. I was sitting on this cafe just because I needed to do my work on my laptop right away and there was a chairs and a table, where I can work. There was no waiters and workers and this cafe was open. I've been sitting there and after 20 minutes the workers of this cafe came and said in a rude manner that I should order something or leave their cafe. The waitress said me to Get Out. There was no any signs or posters that I can't sit there without ordering a food or a drink. When I asked for a complaints book to write my feedback, they started speak Vietnamese and said that I should go outside and complaint there and they were keep laughing. I really felt terrible at this moment. There also was another situation, when I went to the Sun Coast Lounge. There is no coffee, no drinks, even there was no coffee. It's not really important such as there was a family, with a young daughter. They were sitting near me, and they didn't have time to eat, they were late for a plane. They made a sandwich for a kid and was trying to go out of the Lounge with this sandwich that was holding their daughter. The service of the Lounge started to snatch that sandwich out of kid's hands. I left Vietnam with bad feeling because of...
Read moreI will never forget what happened at Cam Ranh Airport. And I hope no one else ever has to go through this.
On April 18, 2025, before boarding flight SU295 to Moscow, I was forced by security staff at Cam Ranh International Airport to send my living, breathing dog through a baggage X-ray machine.
Yes, you read that right. A living animal. Through an X-ray scanner. Like a suitcase.
I tried to stop them. I said this isn’t safe, this isn’t allowed. I showed concern, I begged. They didn’t care. They waved me off, insisted, pressured — until I had no choice but to obey.
I stood there frozen, watching my terrified dog disappear into a dark machine that emits radiation. My heart sank. I felt helpless. Powerless. Furious. And above all — terrified for my pet’s health.
This is not just unprofessional. This is inhumane.
Animals are not objects. They are not “luggage.” Every international safety guideline states clearly: no live animals through X-ray. This was a gross violation — of procedure, of compassion, of basic common sense.
To the management of Cam Ranh Airport: Train your staff. Educate your security. Protect the lives entrusted to your care. What happened to us is unacceptable. And it better not happen to anyone else.
I’m sharing this so that no traveler with a pet ever finds themselves in my shoes — standing in an airport, holding back tears, knowing that the people meant to ensure your safety are the very ones putting your animal at risk.

Read moreCam Ranh International Airport, just a 5-minute walk from the domestic terminal, is small but clean and newly built, with a few shops. For check-in, even if you've no luggage or have checked in online, a paper boarding pass is mandatory, and your visa will be checked. If you've overstayed even by a day, expect delays. Airline staff will take passport photos and communicate with immigration officers by messenger, bypassing personal data privacy.
If found overstaying, an official will escort you to a separate room for a slow process. With language barriers, an airline crew member often assists. Overstaying fees range from 500k to 2 million VND for up to 15 days, often charging the higher tier. You're offered a choice to pay 2 million VND on the spot or visit city-center immigration.
To avoid further delay, you might pay the full amount, signing documents in Vietnamese without translation. The officer then expedites your boarding pass and immigration clearance, allowing you to...
