Kiou Leou Ti — Local services in Hà Giang Province

DO NOT TAKE THE ROAD FROM THE NORTH SIDE HEADING SOUTH IF HEADING TO THE PEAK

The road starts off fine and you can make it to a small village with some very beautiful views along the way.

Shortly after the village it becomes difficult and then even more difficult with crevices, earth that falls away from beneath your bike tyres and feet plus lots of rocks and slippery mud. In some places if you fall off the edge, you're gone. The road appears to have been heavily affected by weather and it's dangerous.

We made it about 3km before we turned back. We were having to push each others bikes to get up steep mudslides until it became impossible. The pics of the dirt road might look drive able, but they are steeper than they look. I didn't have time to get pics of the more difficult sections as I was too busy trying to get my bike through them.

All in all, it took about two hours of our time to get up to where we were and then get back down.

There should be a warning sign for this road.

Definitely try a different road heading up to the peak if you want...

Be aware if you want to trek Kiou Leou Ti during rainy days. There are 10km offroad with macadam , mud and fog. Otherwise there barely no homestay near the top except one so you need to contact them first if you wanna stay overnight. The landscape is majestic and deserted...

Chiêu Lầu Thi là tên gọi ngọn núi cao thứ 2 của tỉnh Hà Giang, tên tiếng việt có nghĩa là “Chín tầng thang”. Theo tiếng Hán “Chiêu Lầu” có nghĩa là chín bậc, “thi” là tảng đá to và cao.
