Was feeling a bit rundown with a nagging headache and decided that a good soak was in order. This place advertised spa packages, mud baths, mineral soaks etc. The place itself is gorgeous, and whoever designed the layout did a killer job, I mean eggcellent! (Except the rock path can be quite slippery when wet, so be careful). First off, if you don't want to use their swim (or should I say mud?) Suits (free if you buy a package) then bring one you don't nind getting muddied and discoloured), also, bring flipflops and leave everything but your phone (for documenting the awesomeness duh!) And maybe some sort of cool beverage (everything- from the mudbath to the pool is kinda warm-hot) for hydration. Leave your glasses and other valuables sealed in the lockers that they provide (trust me or you will leave with mudstained essentials etc). Ok on to the fun stuff! The prices are somewhere between affordable and pricey (depending on what you choose). I bought the package for a herbal treatment, mud bath, herbal bath and massage (which included a steambath) (1,000,000 vnd) the 2 person package is 1,700,000 vnd. The warmth of the mudbath was a bit shocking as the weather itself was HOT! But it was not unbearable and the body adjusts. The mud itself was, uh, how shall I put it? Um, very mudlike! Haha, it was of a very runny consistency and smelled well, of mud. It felt a bit skippery as well, but I can't say that I felt anyway other than I was just soaking in mud. Ah! I need to point out, even with the package, this is much a self-guided experience (20 minutes in each place), I (maybe foolishly) believed that because it was a package that everything would happen in one place. Also, you get the choice of lounging in a rock bathtub out in the open or living it up like royalty and soaking in a giant egg (can seat up to 4 not very hefty adults). I chose the egg (it's up on a hill and surrounded by banana trees, a bit more privacy and peaceful). There are rainshowers, regular showers (manned by attendant so maybe it's special water?) And a hydrotherapy maze shower (jets of water along a stone maze hitting you on both sides), this one kinda hurt a bit (maybe I'm just a softie, but it felt like the water jet version of mini paintball 🤣🤣). After you have washed all the mud off in the 3 different showers, you go across the way, to a rock jacuzzi like, sunken in the ground tub for the herbal bath. It has patchouli and other fragrant herbs (and is also hot), but was quite soothing to soak in. After 20 minutes in here, you do the long walk to the end to the spa. The spa was truly my favourite place. The attendants are just lovely, and the massage was a mix of thai, deep tissue and hot stone. It was amazing!! No muscle was left unsmacked, pummeled, massaged and then hot stone soothed. I wish the head massage was a bit gentler, slower and longer, but all in all it was great to be massaged so thoroughly from head to feet (yup, even the feet got pummeled). I experienced a nice, deep relaxation and all the soreness in my muscles were vanquished as was my headache by the end. When she said 'ok now steam bath', I had to force myself to roll off the bed because I was a sleepy body full of delicious mush; I just wanted to curl up and nap! I was hesitant to have a steambath as I overheat rapidly and it was already a hot day. But I told myself to woman up and I'm so glad I did. Unlike many spas, the heat/steam gradually built up and did not cresendo to an unbearable and painful/can't even breathe intensity (whew and hallelujah!). It was pleasant, the steam was herb infused which cleared up my sinuses most effectively. There's a wonderful heated stone bench over a steam vent which you can seat on. But I wrapped a towel around my eyes (didn't want my lashes steamed off) and laid down on the regular side bench and napped (it. Was. Fabulous!). Totally worth the money, go between 11 am and 3 pm during the week to beat the crowds. There are pools, a restaurant and shops...
Read moreEnjoyed the mud spa experience. If you can tune out the numerous loud tourists from you know where, this place is worth a visit. It's a bit of a hassle getting there and back though. Took herbal mud package 1 million vnd for mud bath 20 min, herbal mineral bath 20 min and 60 min herbal massage with herbal compress. In Thailand, the herbal compress is only pressing on the back with 2 balls of herbs. Here, they used 2 herbal balls each on my back, legs, arms/shoulders and massaged with them too. They might have rushed a little as i arrived late at this place and they wanted to go home. Tip: Get the private baths which are only 50k vnd more than the shared ones. Bring a plastic bag for your valuables to bring them around unless you don't mind risking to leave them in the lockers (staff and notices recommend against it). Arrive no later than 4 or 430 if getting massage and bath package, and 5 or 530 if just using the baths. The staff close everything by 6pm as they probably want to go home earlier. I arrived at 5 and had to rush to pay, change and go from place to place. Factor in walking and showering time as well.Bonus Tip: If you're polite and nice to the staff, and maybe give them a tip if you want, they might agree to take a photo for you in the egg baths. That's the most unique part of this mud bath. They have a professional photographer making rounds to offer photo taking (80k to 120k vnd), which i obviously...
Read moreNice place for relaxing. There are zillion services include hotels, restaurants and spa. At the welcome area, there is a board "100 eggs" which is huge enough for you to take pictures with family or friends. An absolutely convenient thing is that there is service called electric car, you won't have tired legs at all. Especially, we went deep inside and discovered a wide range ground. Moreover, there are some "zoos" (i mean some cages, and some animals, peacooks, for example) There is also a bridge somewhere and culture houses on some hills My photos: a huge house (above elephants) is giant wc doubles as view place (upstair is a cool standing position). At coconut side, several chutes and swings were established for children (even adult if you want to). I went neither mud bath nor mineral spring but they seem good at all. Additionally, there is a city view area on another hill. Here you go, a beautiful Nha Trang within coast, houses and trees... By the way, the name of this resort speak itself, you will face eggs every where although in the restroom. The only negative point is that this summer is a little bit hot, somewhere you have to face against with sunlight rage, which is not comfortable for us, anyway. You need to go everywhere to find out more interesting things, won't you? Come here to...
