The falls is about a 3.5 hour drive from Mansa and about 1km inside from the Mbereshi- Kawambwa road. Ntumbachushi Falls is the perfect getaway destination for anyone that loves to the outdoors. The falls are situated on the Ngona River in Luapula Province, Zambia where it runs over the edge of the northern Zambian plateau into the valley of the Luapula River. It costs k33 for locals and residents to pitch tents and camp. There are no showers available, however, if you are down to hop into the river and feel like a slightly smelly supermodel, this is the perfect place. However long you intend on staying, your best option would be to carry camp kitchen utensils and food. Not only because if you don’t, you’ll starve but because nothing completes a camping trip like fetching firewood and starting a fire! Getting from Lusaka to Luapula can be a nightmare with the distance but a visit to Ntumbachushi is definitely worth it and I would totally recommend that trip for a solo, group or even romantic camping weekend!

Its simply amazing! The falls is so graceful and yet majestic especially in the rainy season. Ntumba Chushi falls is located on the Ng`ona River in Kawambwa District in Luapula Province of Zambia. It’s about a kilometer off the Kawambwa- Mbereshi road and 17 km from Kawambwa town. Ntumba means mountain. Chushi means mist or smoke from the falling curtains of water. The name therefore means a Misty or Smokey Mountain. There is no accommodation at the falls one has to go with a camping kit or travel to Kawambwa which is about 17km away

A very beautiful place indeed. I believe there are 5 falls in total. Each a few meters above the other. It makes for a beautiful hike. Theres a bar and a restaurant but they are currently not open due to covid. It would make for a beautiful camping site but I'm not sure they do that. I loved the natural vegetation. Beautiful palm like trees and air...
