Every Sunday morning we drive past this market when going to church. I have seen this market expand and shops change outlook. In particular the shops that are along the now tarred road are regularly renovated. One thing is a real problem with this market. The vendors hardly leave any space for people to walk on the narrow roadside walk. The only time roadside walkers enjoyed real use was when the cholera outbreak forced a clean up campaign. The police had forced the vendors off the sidewalks. I had hoped that the decency would last long but its seems my hopes will remain crushed until another presidential decree. Otherwise, I like this market for the cheap chickens whether whole or pieces sold...
