"Best Hand Roll in Las Vegas"? Honestly... Just Okay 🫣

BAR ITO 📍 Promenade Food Hall, 2777 S Las Vegas Blvd Level 2, Las Vegas, NV 89109 🈺 Hours: Sun–Thu: 11AM–8PM Fri–Sat: 11AM–10PM 📍 Located on the 2nd floor of the newly opened Fontainebleau Las Vegas hotel’s food hall. 🚗 The hotel isn’t on the Strip, and parking isn’t free — pretty surprising since many off-Strip hotels (like Wynn) still offer complimentary parking. 🍽️ Since opening, this food hall hasn’t been too busy — but it’s clean, quiet, and comfortable (maybe because it’s never crowded?). I first tried visiting BAR ITO during Christmas last year, but it was closed — likely due to low foot traffic. This Easter, I went back and finally found it open! 🍣 Initially, I thought: “Let’s just order everything and try it all!” But then my rational side warned me: Empty restaurant = slow turnover = possibly not-so-fresh fish. 🐟 So I started with the most basic option: a salmon bowl. 😐 For $12, the bowl was barely palm-sized — just a few spoonfuls of lukewarm rice topped with four thin, cracked slices of salmon. The fish wasn’t exactly “off,” but it had lost all its freshness and elasticity — soft, limp, and uninspiring. 💰 The pricing is pretty steep here. To feel full, you’d likely spend $50+ per person — and for average-quality ingredients? Not worth it. If you’re just curious, give it a try. Personally, I was disappointed and won’t be returning. 🍕 On a brighter note: The Miami Slice pizza stand in the same food hall is actually really good! Freshly made, affordable, and delicious — our family loves the mushroom truffle pizza. 🍄✨ First time we ordered a slice, second time we got a whole pie! 🥯 Since last year, more stalls have opened here — including a highly-recommended bagel spot! #Foodie #LasVegas #LasVegasEats #FoodHall #JapaneseFood #PizzaLover #HotelDining
