"Dim Sum" at Asian Cuisine Rijswijk in The Hague
šAs a die-hard dim sum lover, I came across a recommendation for this place in The Hague online. People have even called it the ābest dim sum spotā ā so of course, I had to try it out! šSummary: Not quite the best, with mixed quality on dishes. šOrdered a big spread, so letās start with the good stuff: šRed Rice Rolls: Crispy skin, very tasty. Shrimp Dumplings: Big and filled with fresh, tender shrimp. Stir-Fried Beef Ho Fun: Honestly, the best dish we had! š„¢ Now for the letdowns: šShrimp Paste Water Spinach: Lacked that strong shrimp paste flavor, though the water spinach itself was good. Turnip Cake: My dim sum must-have, but sadly disappointing ā the surface was burnt rather than perfectly crispy, leaving a bitter taste (but the chili oil on the table was quite good). šRoast Duck and Char Siu Combo: The roast duck was decent, but the char siu was a bit tough and dry. Chicken Feet: Quite disappointing ā I only ate one. It wasnāt tender enough, and the meat didnāt come off the bone easily, making it hard to enjoy. Black Bean Pork Ribs: These were big, meaty ribs, but I prefer the smaller, bite-sized pieces. We ordered a lot and left very full, but thereās definitely room for improvement in the dishes overall. š½ļø #DailyEats #FoodReview #DimSumTime #WeeklyFoodieCheck #EnjoyingLifeThroughFood
