Suddenly freezing temperatures in Austin froze our pipes at home… so what else could we do but book a hotel stay? 😅❄️ This time I checked into the Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin 🏨. It’s right next to the State Capitol—some rooms even have a full view of it! The hotel is pretty compact. Though the building is tall, there’s no grand lobby—just a small front desk. As a Globalist member, I got upgraded to a King Bed Studio 🛏️. According to the hotel, it’s considered a basic "suite," but honestly it’s just a slightly larger king room. The main feature is a big bathtub with a full set of bath salts, mud, and fancy soaps 🛁✨. Other than that, you just get two extra chairs. The room was modern and the bath experience was lovely, but I still felt the $400/night wasn’t fully justified 😅. I prefer more space!
