[Family-Friendly Spots Near Boston] A Hidden Forest Zoo in Maine

🌲 Tucked away in Maine’s forests is this amazing zoo šŸ¦Œā€”it’s a total gem for family outings in Maine! We tested it out, and it’s perfect for a day trip with kids. 🦫 This time, we visited the Maine Wildlife Park, and its biggest vibe is ā€œauthentic wildnessā€! We saw black bears napping in the shade 🐻, silver-black foxes patrolling gracefully 🦊, beavers munching on their meals, and deer zoning out among the trees—so many native Maine animals, all visible up close! The kids (my partner’s cousin’s little ones) were completely glued to the sights, staring wide-eyed the whole time šŸ‘€. šŸŽ‰ There was even a special sticker event to celebrate the animals’ birthdays that day šŸŽ‚! We got to join in for Bonnie (22 years old) and Marilyn (20 years old)—how adorable is that? āø» šŸ”Ž Practical Tips: • šŸ’µ Cash Only āš ļø: Admission fees and the gift shop only accept cash! Don’t forget to bring some with you. • 🧺 Picnic-Friendly: The park has tons of picnic tables—eating under the shade of trees is so cozy! Feel free to bring your own lunch. • šŸŽ¤ Guided Activities: There are special animal talks every day. When you enter, make sure to check the event board for times. āø» šŸ“ Location: Maine Wildlife Park (Gray, ME) šŸš— Drive Time: About 2 hours from Boston šŸ’° Admission: $7 for adults | $5 for children (recommend checking the official website in advance for updates) šŸ•™ Recommended Stay: 2–3 hours is just right #BostonAreaFamilyTravel #Maine #MaineState #FamilyOutingRecommendations #NatureEducationSpots #BostonDayTrips #AroundBoston
