2-Day Trip to Portland, Maine

Day 1: Cloudy Skies & Sisterly Fun We started with Middle Eastern breakfast at Café Landwer in Boston, then hit the road north—about a 2-hour drive to Portland! 📍 Victoria Mansion: We arrived 20 minutes late and missed the tour 😩… but we stumbled upon a super cool one-eyed cat in the backyard 🐱! I sneakily climbed onto the mansion’s balcony (like a total ninja) and didn’t get caught—score! 😉 🍵 Matchamood: A TikTok-famous matcha spot! The strawberry matcha was way better— the lavender matcha had too strong a taro flavor that overpowered the matcha. 📍 Commercial Street: We couldn’t stop browsing vintage shops and small souvenir stores—so many cute finds, we almost lost track of time 🛍️! 🍩 The Holy Donut: Their blueberry glazed donut was packed with blueberry flavor! Wild blueberries are a Portland specialty, and you can totally taste why. 🦞 Luke’s Lobster: Named the best lobster roll in town a couple years ago—we sat on a deck over the water, but we had to outsmart seagulls trying to steal our food! 🐦 It was chaotic but fun. 📍 Old Port Waterfront: A cloudy day by the sea has its own charm—we even saw a huge rainbow pop up over the water 🌈! 📍 Cape Elizabeth, Portland Head Light: We rushed to the lighthouse just before the park closed at 8:30 PM to catch the sunset. The sky was so beautiful, we couldn’t look away for a second 🌅! 🍹 Nightcap: We mixed our own strawberry-watermelon-lemon soda-gummy bear rum cocktails! They were so good that us two heartbroken gals sat cross-legged chatting until 4:30 AM—so we figured, why not just stay up to watch the sunrise? Day 2: Bright Sun & Picture-Perfect Vibes The next day was a total 180—sunshine all day long ☀️! 🥐 Standard Bakery Co.: This popular bakery had a long line, but it was worth it! Their pear tart is a must-try—flaky crust, sweet pears, absolute perfection. 🛍️ Anthropologie: Spotted a yellow dress—doesn’t it look just like the one Emma Stone wore in La La Land? ✨ Felt like a movie moment trying it on! 🍟 Duckfat Poutine: It had a hint of the crispy, savory flavor you get from Peking duck skin—so unique and delicious! 📍 Portland Head Light: The lighthouse in the afternoon sun looked like a postcard come to life—too pretty to be real! But the wind was ruthless: it crashed waves hard against the rocks and blew our freshly styled hair straight up into the air 😂. #Portland #PortlandArea #Maine #LobsterRoll #PortlandFood #PortlandGuide #BostonSurroundings #Travel #BostonDayTrips
