🍴 | Outstanding Peruvian Cuisine in Madrid - A Place Worth Revisiting

This restaurant has multiple dining areas; we booked a table in the greenhouse garden this time for better lighting. We loved it so much that we booked another table two weeks later right after we finished our meal. My colleague was even moved to tears of joy by the food. 1️⃣💛💛💛💛💛 Tiradito de salmón & maracuyá - Highly recommended! I’ve had Peruvian cuisine several times, and usually, ceviche surpasses tiradito, but the salmon and passion fruit sashimi here is love at first bite. The combination of sesame oil, scallion oil, and passion fruit takes the flavor to the next level, with a wonderful texture. If you’re not into spicy and sour but enjoy sashimi, this is the perfect choice. 2️⃣ 💛💛💛💛💛 Cebiche Q - This restaurant’s Peruvian-style marinated fish ranks second in my heart. The flavor is excellent, sufficiently acidic, and well-layered. It’s missing a bit of spiciness for me, and the fried baby squid and the onion slices could be better, but it’s still highly recommended! 3️⃣ 💛💛💛💛💛 Zamburiñas acebichadas a la brasa - Strongly recommended! These are the best little scallops I’ve had in two years in Spain! I could smell the fresh scallops before the dish even arrived. As a Dalian native, my nose wasn’t wrong; zamburiñas are similar to Dalian’s comb scallops, but the seasonal little scallops in Dalian are sweeter. Scallop dishes here in Spain, regardless of price, often lack sweetness, but this dish makes up for it with its sweet and smoky flavor. 4️⃣ 💛💛💛 Lomo saltado - Stir-fried beef, a classic Peruvian dish that mimics Chinese cuisine, but this one wasn’t up to par. The beef wasn’t stir-fried to release its aroma, and the sauce looked pre-made. The potatoes were decently fried, but other places in Madrid and Barcelona do it better. Not recommended. The pre-meal fried potato chips and potato bread are both 💯. I always order Chicha morado, a purple corn drink, when I have Peruvian food. It’s more like a corn water made from purple corn, pineapple, quince, clove, and cinnamon, with lime juice and sugar added. I personally dislike cinnamon, but this drink is my favorite. You must try it when you visit a Peruvian restaurant. #Spain #SpainTravel #SpanishCuisine #PeruvianCuisine #Madrid #MadridDining
