🍷 Elisa Steakhouse in Vancouver – Is It Worth the Hype?
Finally visited the famous Elisa Steakhouse with my family! It’s been a while since I shared a food review, so here we go~ 📍 Located in Yaletown (one of downtown’s safer areas, lol), the restaurant has a classic steakhouse vibe—elegant but not overly crowded. Service was impeccable; our server was attentive and gave detailed recommendations. 🍽️ What We Ordered & Ratings 1️⃣ Sourdough Bread (5/5) From Beyond Bread, known for having some of the best sourdough in Vancouver. Chewy, slightly tangy, served with butter & olive oil—perfection. 2️⃣ Hand-Cut Beef Carpaccio (4/5) Silky raw beef with truffle (though the truffle flavor was subtle). The sauce was a bit rich, but the arugula balanced it well. 3️⃣ Mushroom Risotto (3.5/5) Creamy & umami-packed, but too salty after a few bites. Rice had a nice al dente texture. 4️⃣ Triple-Cooked Fries (4.5/5) Ultra-crispy, not overly salty, with garlic aioli—classic and delicious. 5️⃣ Roasted Potatoes (4/5) Rosemary took these to the next level—crispy outside, fluffy inside. Pro tip: Choose either fries or these (both are great but filling). 6️⃣ Wood-Fired 50oz Tomahawk Steak (4.8/5) 🔥 The star of the show! Cooked over wood fire, served with dramatic presentation (they bring it whole before slicing). We got medium-rare—juicy, with a perfect char, though a tad salty for my taste. The fatty parts were melt-in-your-mouth without being greasy. 🎂 Birthday Perks They plated our cake beautifully for photos before slicing it. Free petit fours at the end (madeleines, hawthorn cakes, coffee candies)—too sweet for me, but a nice touch! 💰 Damage & Verdict 4 people left STUFFED (that tomahawk is no joke). Overall rating: 4.8/5 – Definitely returning to try the tartare & Wellington steak! #VancouverEats #SteakLover #FoodieReview #WorthIt
