After just ​​five hours of sleep​​, I dragged myself out of bed at ​​10 AM​​ and raced to Oakville—determined to finally try their famous ​​fruit tarts​​ (last time, they sold out by 1 PM!). This time? ​​Success at 11:30 AM!​​ And bonus: I also got to visit ​​Hexagon’s sister restaurant​​ next door. ​​🍴 HIGHLIGHTS FROM TWO MEALS IN ONE DAY:​​ 🧁 ​​FRUIT TART (Sweet Pick)​​ The custard filling was so silky, it practically ​​drank like liquid gold​​—paired with a flaky, fresh-from-the-oven crust and juicy mango. ​​HEAVEN.​​ 🥧 ​​Rendang Shepherd’s Pie + Chicken Pie (Savory Picks)​​ Rich, flavorful, comfort food at its best. The ​​spiced beef​​ and ​​creamy chicken​​ fillings were next-level. 🍕 ​​Palermo Pizza (Honey & Pistachio)​​ My most-anticipated dish… but sadly, a bit too sweet. Still fun to watch the staff ​​hand-toss the dough​​ though! 🦐 ​​Grilled Tiger Shrimp​​ Jumbo-sized, perfectly seasoned—each bite was ​​buttery, smoky bliss.​​ 🐙 ​​Grilled Octopus​​ Tender, springy, fresh-as-can-be. ​​Seafood perfection.​​ ​​😭 IF ONLY I COULD TELEPORT HERE DAILY…​​ Oakville’s food scene is too good.
