Downtown Toronto | Chic French Dining at the Hilton 🍽️✨

On the last day of Summerlicious, I went all out—lunch at this French spot in DT, followed by dinner with friends at Midtown's top Italian restaurant (more on that later!). Located right inside the Hilton lobby (left entrance), this place nails the ambiance: spacious, elegant lighting, and a stunning feature wall with gorgeous artwork. The food? Some hits, some misses—but if you order wisely, it’s a lovely experience. 🍽️ COURSE BREAKDOWN: 🥗 Starters: Tuna Niçoise Salad Fresh, light, and packed with flavor. The Ahi Tuna was perfection. Mr. Bear’s Veggie Soup Sadly, tasted like canned soup… 🙅‍♀️ Onion Soup (à la carte) Decent, but not mind-blowing. Wouldn’t order again, but no regrets. 🍔 Mains: Burger Overly salty + unevenly cooked. One bite = juicy medium, the next = dry well-done. Roulette vibes. 🎲 Fish & Chips Crispy, thin batter + tender fish inside. The star of the meal! 🍰 Desserts: Dark Chocolate Cake Rich, not too sweet, balanced by tangy berry sorbet. 10/10. Cherry Sundae Strong almond flavor—I hated it, but Mr. Bear loved it. 🤷‍♀️ 📍 Frenchy Bar et Brasserie 145 Richmond St W, Toronto, ON M5H 2L2 Verdict: Probably better outside Summerlicious. Great for dates or brunch—especially with live band performances on Sundays! 🔥 Debate Time: What’s your favorite French dish? Croque Monsieur? Duck Confit? Let me know below! 👇 #TorontoEats #FrenchCuisine #Summerlicious #DateNightTO #TorontoFoodie #FoodieFinds #EatLikeALocal
