Fink Farm + Sand Point Preserve Adventure
On a scorching Sunday at the end of June, we finally got a rain-free day—perfect for a little escape to Long Island! ☀️🚗 First Stop ✅ Fink Country Farm 📍 6242 Middle Country Rd, Manorville, NY 11949 Late June marked the tail end of strawberry 🍓 U-pick season at this charming farm. Admission was 11perperson∗∗,andthestrawberrieswepickedcost∗∗4.99 per pound. Not bad for a sweet summer outing! 🎟️💰 The farm itself was adorable, with strawberry fields, farm animals 🐐, and a cozy country vibe. When we arrived, there were still plenty of strawberries left, but they were on the smaller side—still juicy and delicious, though! 🍓❤️ After chatting with a staff member 👩🌾, we learned that peak strawberry season was in early June, when the berries were big, plump, and abundant. Guess we were a little too late! 😭 Second Stop 🚫 Sand Point Preserve 📍 127 Middle Neck Rd, Sands Point, NY 11050 This place is famous as a filming location for *The Great Gatsby*, but honestly? Big disappointment. 🎬❌ The entrance fee was $15 per car, and while the castle 🏰 looked majestic from the outside, we weren’t allowed inside! The grounds included hiking trails and a private beach 🏝️, but under the blazing sun, and with our group losing interest fast, we only lasted 30 minutes before calling it quits. Total letdown! 🥵 #WeekendInNYC #NYCLife #TinyFarmer #NatureDay #LongIslandNY #LongIsland #FarmHarvest #FarmDiaries #CastleVibes
