Foodie|Authentic Dim Sum in Dublin 🇮🇪 No Regrets!
Many on Xiaohongshu rave about this place’s dim sum (but say the main dishes are just okay)—and after trying it, we agree! The dim sum is delicious, and we’d definitely come back with friends. Friday nights are packed! 🏮 They have big round tables for groups, but we got a tiny two-seater. The spacing is tight—when our 2 mains + 3 dim sum dishes arrived, the table was overflowing! Not the comfiest, but the food is worth it, and service is lightning-fast. Perfect for when you’re starving and want to feast! 🍽️ 📍 Good World Chinese Restaurant 18 South Great George's Street, D02 AE10 💰 €30-35 per person 🔸 Reservations recommended—it’s popular! 🍽️ What We Ordered: 1️⃣ Squid Ink Scallop Dumpling (€6.5) 🦑 Instagram-worthy 📸! The ink-infused crystal dumpling skin is unique, and the filling is generous and satisfying. 2️⃣ Steamed Pork Buns (Xiaolongbao, €7) 🥢 Juicy and fragrant! They only gave us forks & knives (no chopsticks 😅), so piercing them was risky. Two buns were already torn, but luckily each had its own dish to catch the broth—don’t waste a drop! 3️⃣ Stir-Fried Beef Ho Fun (€17.5) 🐄🔥 I couldn’t find "Ho Fun" on the English menu, so I ordered in Chinese—so glad I did! 🔥 The wok hei (breath of the wok) is perfect, and it’s not overly salty like others in Dublin. 4️⃣ Prawn Cheung Fun (€6.5) 🍤 Silky, bouncy rice rolls—who can resist? A must-order, zero regrets! 5️⃣ Ma Po Tofu (€15.5) 🌶️❌ Even my European boyfriend noticed: This isn’t Sichuan-style! No numbing spice (no Sichuan peppercorns), and it had green beans (??). Our bad—this is Cantonese cuisine, not Sichuan! 6️⃣ Hong Kong Milk Tea (€4) ☕ Saw this on Xiaohongshu but couldn’t find it on the menu (maybe I’m blind? 👀). The server asked if I wanted it hot or iced—went for iced, and it was perfect! 💡 TIP: We overordered! Even with my bottomless-pit boyfriend, we were stuffed.
