Life Advice: Eat These Before Leaving Vancouver!
I spent a week in Vancouver and tried some of the most hyped-up restaurants from Xiaohongshu—here are my top picks! 🍽️ Must-Try Restaurants ✨ Pidgin Foie Gras Rice is a must—so rich and flavorful! The chestnut and daikon radish cut through the richness perfectly. Meat Sauce Korean Rice Cakes are a unique fusion of Korean and Western flavors—chewy and delicious. Warning: The area is sketchy (lots of homeless people). ✨ Geng Shi Ji A local’s recommendation in Richmond—homestyle Chinese food with a creative twist! Must-try: Fish-Flavored Eggplant Boxes , Braised Beef Brisket with Sticky Rice (so tender!), and their Stewed Chicken. ✨ Mott 32 Ate here three times in five days—that’s how good it is! Amazing ambiance and even better food (check my previous post for details). ✨ Hello Kitty Café Food is just okay, but the Hello Kitty ice cream is cute (waffle has a mochi-like chewiness). Super Instagrammable—great for photos! ✨ Mister Artisan Ice Cream (Yaletown) Crème Brûlée Ice Cream is a must—creamy, with Oreo cake and crispy caramel. The whole street is fun to explore (lots of dessert spots and boutiques). ✨ WA-Bagel Japanese-style creative bagels! Chocolate and red bean flavors are great—the dough is extra chewy (maybe mochi inside?). ✨ Da Fa Cat Noodle House Braised Beef Noodles (Shanghai-style!)—thick, chewy noodles in a rich broth. Super generous with meat—great value! ✨ Potato Corner The hype is real—best seasoned fries ever! Twisty Fries (crispy outside, soft inside) and Tater Tots are addictive. Pizza and Chili BBQ flavors are 🔥🔥🔥. 📍 Where to Go Richmond: Best for authentic Chinese food. Yaletown: Trendy cafés and dessert spots. #VancouverFoodie #EatLikeALocal #FoodieTravels
