Tucked away from the lively buzz of Jackson Square, the 1850 House offers a fascinating and peaceful retreat into the past. This self-guided tour provides a unique glimpse into mid-19th century New Orleans life. ποΈπΏ The rooms are beautifully decorated with period furnishings, and the informational signs placed throughout are both insightful and engaging. I loved learning about the families who lived here and what daily life was like during that era. π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦π It's worth noting that during our visit, all the audio stations were unfortunately out of service. This was a bit of a letdown, as some added narration would have really enriched the experience. π§π Despite that, it was still a worthwhile stop and a wonderful way to connect with the city's rich history.
