Finally got to try the FREE kayaking in LIC this year! Perfect for beginners—just walk in (no reservation needed), and the only requirement is being 18+. After signing waivers and grabbing a life vest 🦺, a volunteer gave us a *20-second paddle demo* before sending us off! You can go solo or pair up in a tandem kayak. Despite zero experience, I confidently chose to go alone—and the volunteer immediately hyped me up, saying my boarding technique was "already like a pro" �💪. Though I’ve taken the ferry countless times, paddling toward Manhattan in a kayak gave me a whole new sense of freedom. 🌊🗽 📍 Location: Anable Basin Dock at 5th St & N Basin Rd.
