🏃♀️Monterrey 2-Day 1-Night Speedrun!
In 9 words: Ate like a king, played like a champ, explored it all! Who even travels to Monterrey? Me, apparently… On a whim, I booked a flight from Guadalajara to visit friends in Monterrey — two days packed with fun! My first time here in 1.5 years in Mexico, and it’s perfect for a mini holiday raid 🙋 Spent Sunday exploring Centro — especially the market in Barrio Antiguo 🛍️. So many weird and wonderful things, ended up shopping again 🥲 Also on that street: Etnia Café: Met a cute half-Chinese boy there 👀☕ Libros Café Y Detalles: Super popular, but the line was too long 🫠 Then wandered around the main square: Hit up the Museum of Contemporary Art 🖼️ Snapped pics of the Cathedral ⛪ → moved on 🙂↔️ Early morning brunch at Jabalina Barrio Antiguo — only open for breakfast on Sundays! Heard their main dishes are great too, but didn’t try. Evening went to San Pedro: Ate Brazilian BBQ at Fogo de Chão 🍖 — fancy vibe, meat was good but pricier than Guadalajara! Day 2: Paseo Santa Lucía ✅ Fundidora Park ✅ Back to San Pedro for the highly recommended bakery BreAd Arboleda — absolutely amazing! 😍 Before heading to the airport, had Korean food at Galbi's Korean Restaurant with friends — they said it’s super authentic. First time trying grilled eel in Mexico! 🐟🍚 📍Market: Barrio Antiguo 📍Café: Etnia Café 📍Café: Libros Café Y Detalles 📍Museum: Museum of Contemporary Art of Monterrey 📍Restaurant: Jabalina Barrio Antiguo 📍BBQ: Fogo de Chão Monterrey 📍Bakery: BreAd Arboleda 📍Korean: Galbi's Korean Restaurant 📍Riverwalk: Paseo Santa Lucía 📍Park: Fundidora Park First time in Monterrey = super happy and fulfilled! 🥳 But still think Guadalajara is more livable — nicer prices. Monterrey feels a bit luxe and expensive 👉🏻👈🏻 Next mini trip — Monterrey lamb roast, I’m coming for you! 🐑 #Mexico #TravelMexico #Monterrey #MonterreyTravel
