😵💫 Restaurant Review – Horváth Berlin 🌟🌟 | Not Recommended
It’s been three days since our meal here, and I’ve finally recovered both my mood and my stomach enough to write this review calmly. We chose Horváth mainly because we hadn’t used the €150 Amex Platinum dining credit yet this year, and we also wanted to do some New Year shopping in Berlin. Little did I know that my 9th and 10th Michelin stars would turn into an epic disappointment 😣💸. Horváth is a vegetable-focused (Gemüseküche) restaurant 🥒🍠. They offer 6-course and 8-course menus centered around veggies. We went with the 6-course (a wise decision!), which cost €190 per person on weekends. My partner and I also opted for the non-alcoholic drink pairing (€90) and wine pairing (€120). The restaurant also offers two signature dishes outside the menu for an extra €30 each. I won’t go into detail about each course – just thinking about it is painful 😖. By the second course, I tried to politely tell the server that the food and drinks weren’t enjoyable and asked for a replacement. But I quickly realized it was hopeless – the replacement was just as bad. We decided to just finish the meal, pay, and leave 🚪💨. Every dish consisted of 3-4 elements, but each was extreme in flavor – too icy, too sour, too sweet, or too spicy 🌶️🍋. Nothing harmonized. The overuse of dairy for protein and fat made the meal monotonous and heavy. The drink pairing was completely off 🥤🚫. Several house-made beverages tasted strange, and one Polish cider had a strong moldy apple flavor 😵. And every non-wine drink was served in a champagne flute – unprofessional and confusing. The total came to nearly €700 for two 💰😭. We felt nauseated until midnight – like a never-ending science experiment of conflicting flavors. The Austrian chef aims to reinterpret his childhood memories through bold, creative dishes. A beautiful idea – but if the food and drinks aren’t enjoyable, it’s just… a shame. #MichelinRestaurant #MichelinTwoStar #BerlinFood #FineDiningFail #NotRecommended #HorváthBerlin #DisappointingExperience
