🌺【6 Days 5 Nights】Family Trip to Honolulu, Hawaii with Kids

🏖 Day 1: Arrival in Honolulu Took an Uber from the airport to Waikiki — less than 30 mins, around $40. Stayed at Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa for the first 4 nights. Great location: Steps from the beach 🏖️ and main street! Service was mediocre (they even lost my brand new Alo shirt 😤) Not the best value: $2000 for 4 nights. 💡 Book hotels early! Last-minute = expensive & limited options. 🌊 Day 2: Beach + Shopping Planned Pearl Harbor, but the kids just wanted the beach 👶. Played at the beach all morning → headed to Ala Moana Center (largest mall on the island) → then back to the beach for more sand fun 😂. ✅ Conclusion: Traveling with kids = let them lead the way! 🍍 Day 3: Dole Plantation + Kualoa Ranch Dole Plantation: Took the train tour 🚂 (saw pineapples, cacao, coffee plants). Too hot ☀️, experience was just okay. Kualoa Ranch (Highly recommend! ✅): Movie sites tour 🎥 — stunning mountain and ocean views! 🌊⛰️ Kids loved it too. ⏰ Arrive 45 mins early for check-in. 🐠 Day 4: Hanauma Bay Snorkeling Booked tickets online 2 days in advance at 7 AM 🎫 — got a 10 AM slot. Rented gear: mask + snorkel + fins = ~$60. Watched a short eco-video 🎬 → shuttle to the beach. Kids had a blast! Note: Closed 3 days a week for conservation. ☀️⚠️ SUNSCREEN IS A MUST! No umbrellas allowed — I got badly sunburned and woke up in pain at night 😭. 🐬 Day 5: Kahala Hotel & Resort (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) Switched hotels — Kahala Hotel ($800/night 💸 but worth it!). Got a free upgrade to ocean-front room 🌊! Private beach 🏝️ with calm waves — perfect for kids. Dolphin interaction program available (45 mins → $320). Only regret: We stayed only one night! 💡 Stay here in the middle of your trip to fully enjoy. ✈️ Day 6: Flight Back Hawaiian Airlines: New planes + meals included 🍱. United: Old planes + only snacks/drinks 🥤. Better to pack food for the flight! 📌 Final Tips: ☀️ SUNSCREEN!!!
