【London🇬🇧】Berenjak - Soho Michelin Persian Cuisine
The dishes are super authentic, flavorful, and quite filling. The restaurant is small but very popular, so I recommend booking 2-3 weeks in advance. 📞 Ordered: 1. 🐥 JUJEH KABAB TOND (£29) - Tender chicken roasted over charcoal, aged 28 days. The meat is extremely juicy 💦 and has a rich buttery aroma. The texture is amazing! 2. 🍆 MIRZA GHASEMI (£9.5) - A smoky eggplant puree made with garlic, tomatoes, and fresh eggs from St Ewes farm. It’s flavorful, creamy, and perfect with rice. 3. 🫓 TAFTOON (£4.5) - A must-try! Persian sesame flatbread, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a rich sesame flavor. It pairs perfectly with grilled meats, eggplant puree, or hummus. 💁♀️ The staff are very friendly, especially the chefs in the open kitchen! However, the seating arrangement was a bit confusing. Even though there were empty tables inside and we were at the front of the queue, we were asked to sit outside and told that the indoor tables had a 2-hour wait. Strangely, the customers behind us were immediately given the choice of indoor bar or table seating, which felt a bit discriminatory.🫤 ⭐ Overall Rating: 7/10 (I might opt for takeout next time instead of dining in.) #LondonFood #LifeInUK #UK #HiddenGemRestaurant
