🍽️ 12 Meals in Oahu – A Foodie’s Honest Review

Here’s a breakdown of everything I ate during my trip — from must-try spots to some you can probably skip! 🔥 Honolulu Skewer House ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The first bite told me everything — this place gets it right! ✅ Must-order: Big Island eggplant, chicken wings, lamb skewers, beef tripe, grilled pineapple 🍡 They even gave complimentary tanghulu (candied fruit) after the meal — so good I wanted to take some to go! ☕️ Island Vintage Coffee ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Solid across the board — but the Crab and Egg Brioche stood out 🥯 🍜 Momosan ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sticky ribs = sweet, spicy, delicious! Ramen was just okay — nothing special. 🥩 Han no Daidokoro ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tried the Miyazaki + Washu beef combo + tongue. First course was amazing — clearly tasted the difference between the two meats. Miyazaki beef got heavy quickly though. Later courses were less impressive. 🌴 Heavenly Island Lifestyle ⭐️ Not worth it — doesn’t come close to Island Vintage. 🍛 HK Cafe ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hidden in Waikiki Shopping Plaza — a gem! Beef brisket wonton noodles, chicken wings, char siu rice — all delicious. We enjoyed it so much we stayed for dessert! 🍣 Omakase by Aung ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A solid omakase experience — many fish flown in from Japan. Well-paced, fresh, and satisfying. 🐷 Tonkatsu Tamafuji ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Popular, but just average for me. The crust was crispy, but it got heavy fast. Could use something fresh to balance it. 🍚 Goofy Cafe & Dine ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Their Loco Moco arrived on a massive plate — the gravy was rich and savory! 🍱 Totoya ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A quality seafood bowl — fresh and generous. Not every topping suited mixed rice, but still a good experience. 🍍 CowCow’s Tea ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Near Totoya — the pineapple purple rice yogurt drink was refreshing and delicious! 🧺 KCC Farmer’s Market ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Saturday mornings at Diamond Head — a vibe! Hawaiian mix fruit sandwich & strawberry red bean mochi = 🏆 Takoyaki was average — still worth a visit if you’re around! 🌊 North Shore Eats Seven Brother’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Their first burger on the menu — with crispy onions and pineapple — pure satisfaction in a bite!Poke for the People ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good, but not memorable. Jenny’s Shrimp Truck ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tasty shrimp, solid flavor — but nothing extraordinary Final Thoughts: Oahu’s food scene is vibrant and diverse — but choose wisely!
