❄️ Alaska | Fairbanks Restaurant Guide 🍽️

❄️ Alaska | Fairbanks Restaurant Guide 🍽️ 📍 Hometown Restaurant | 🥞🥓 Found this place on Google Maps on our first day in Alaska—opens at 8:00 AM! ⭐️ Recommendations • Taco Omelet 🍽️🥩🥚🍞 Their portions are huge! I ordered the Taco Omelet and couldn’t finish it 🥡. • Reindeer Omelet 🥣🫎🥚🍞 Made with reindeer sausage—my first time trying deer meat. It tasted quite salty 🧂, but worth a try! If you’re looking for a cozy spot for a warm breakfast, this classic American diner hits the spot and leaves you feeling toasty. 📍 Aurora Crepes & Peking Duck | 🍜🥢 A crepe spot I discovered online. Their sauces are delicious, and the fillings are generous. The crepes reminded me of the ones sold near my school as a kid, but it was my first time having tomatoes 🍅 and cucumbers 🥒 in a crepe—a fun East-meets-West twist! Their noodles are seriously aromatic too!!! ⭐️ Recommendations • Braised Beef Noodles 🍜 Eating a bowl of braised beef noodles in -40°C weather is pure comfort!! 🍜 It’s packed with ingredients—the most beef I’ve ever had in a noodle dish! 📍 Chowder House | 🍝🫕 A friend recommended this spot for crab 🦀. I tried the Crab Roll (chef’s recommendation), but it wasn’t as good as Seattle’s. Still, the place is decent overall. It’s pretty popular, probably because of the many online recommendations. ⭐️ Recommendations • New England Clam Chowder 🫕 • Shrimp Alfredo 📍 Lemongrass Thai Restaurant | The food here was just okay. What stood out was that hot water cost $2 😅… Is that normal? The water in Alaska has a rusty taste, and they charge $2 for it? ⭐️ Recommendations • Chili Chili Duck This was the best dish here! First time trying duck prepared this way—crispy on the outside, served with a delicious dipping sauce, and boneless. 📍 The Pump House | Overall, this place is great. We came for the reindeer and king crab. The 🫎 was tenderer than expected, but the 🦀 was just okay—maybe because Chinese preparations are more elaborate, so it just tasted like… crab. ⭐️ Recommendations • Elk Medallions 🫎 • Crème Brûlée!!!!!!! 📍 HooDoo Brewing Company | ⭐️ Recommendations • Porter (I personally love the chocolate notes 🍫) 📍 The Crepery | The crepes are crispy—worth a try at least once. 📍 Summit Coffee Co. | ⭐️ Recommendations • LONDON FOG (So good!!!!! Warm and cozy!!!) #FairbanksFood#Fairbanks
