Alaska Food Recommendations
Alaska Food Recommendations & Disappointments 🍽️✅❌ Anchorage ❤️ Likes 📍 Sushi & Sushi This place is honestly between like and dislike—their recommended sashimi was way too lean, definitely not as good as sushi spots in the Bay Area or New York 🍣😕. But the added sea urchin and sweet shrimp were fresh, the eel rice was delicious, and the oysters were super, super fresh and tasty 🦪🌟. We actually went back just for the oysters—they were that good! 📍 Fire Island Rustic Bakeshop A local bakery chain found randomly on Google Maps 🥖🗺️. Their seasonal turkey raspberry sandwich was delicious, and the croissants were great 🥐❤️. Went twice with no disappointments—highly recommend! 📍 Wonjo Korean Cuisine Perfect for warming up after a freezing day—the soups were tasty, and they gave a ton of side dishes 🥘🔥. The fried Oreos were surprisingly delicious! 📍 Inferno Seafood Boil Found this on Google Maps, and it was amazing! 🦀🔥 The king crab was market price at $80—totally reasonable. Their custom-mixed sauce was super flavorful. I loved their garlic noodles, and my friend couldn’t get enough of their fried rice—so fragrant! 📍 Moose's Tooth Pub & Pizzeria Pizza is either bad or decent—this was pretty good 🍕👍. Worth a visit! 🖤 Dislikes 📍 Jimmy's Asian Food Restaurant The cumin lamb was tasty but came lukewarm on the outside and cold inside—definitely not freshly cooked 🐑❄️. We sent it back to be reheated, and it was still just warm. Pre-made dish, maybe? The "Peking duck" was basically deep-fried chicken bones—avoid it 🦆🍗. The best dish was actually the vegetarian one—even the bok choy was hotter than the lamb! 📍 Snow City Cafe Who on earth recommended this brunch spot?? 🥚😤 The Eggs Benedict weren’t runny at all—how can you call it Eggs Benedict? The worst part: my friend and I ordered two drinks and waited 40 minutes without them arriving—we had to ask for them. The pecan bread was okay, though. 📍 Wild Scoop Don’t get the strawberry flavor—it had a weird, wet dough-like texture 🍓🤢. Fairbanks 📍 Chowder House Go! It’s amazing! 🦀❤️ The $35 crab roll was packed with crab, and the clam chowder was flavorful—just go! 📍 Aurora Crepes & Peking Duck Great value for the price—ate here twice 🦆🥞. The Peking duck and cumin lamb crepes were delicious! #AlaskaFood#AnchorageEats#FairbanksFood#FoodRecommendations#TravelEats 🗺️🍴
