Here’s how to make the most of your time in Albuquerque, the iconic filming location of Breaking Bad. Perfect for a 2 to 3-day trip! 📸✨ Combine your visit with Santa Fe—it’s great in winter too! ❄️ In the city: museums and historic Old Town walks 🏛️ Outside: breathtaking nature and unique landscapes 🏞️ 🌟 Day 1 📍 Start early at West Bluff Overlook—morning fog over the city with mountains behind + hot balloons in the distance 🎈🌄 📍 Drive 1.5 hours to El Malpais National Monument Must-sees: La Ventana Natural Arch + Sandstone Bluffs 🏜️ 📍 Petroglyph National Monument – Hike the Boca Negra Canyon Trail and discover ancient Indigenous rock carvings 🪨 📍 ⚗️ Afternoon: Breaking Bad filming locations tour (check my last post for addresses!): Walt’s house The laundromat Los Pollos Hermanos 📍 End the day at Sandia Crest or take the Sandia Peak Tramway 🚡—unreal sunset views! 🌇 🌟 Day 2 📍 Morning: Historic Old Town – Adobe buildings, red chili ristras 🌶️, cute art shops, and the charming Old Town Plaza 🧱📸 📍 ⚗️ Breaking Bad Store ABQ – A must for fans! Props, merch, and photo ops everywhere 🧢🍿 📍 Drive to Canoncito Indian Reservation – Where Walt and Jesse cooked in the RV (S1)! We recreated the scene 🚐📸 (Easy dirt road—no 4WD needed!) 📍 ⚗️ Los Pollos Hermanos – Now a real fast-food joint.
