🍽️ Berlin Discovery | A Unique Sri Lankan Restaurant
🍽️Today is my husband's birthday, and I came across a recommendation for this restaurant online at noon, so I immediately made a reservation. We went for dinner and it turned out to be great! 🍽️The restaurant opens at 6 pm. You can find the reservation website on Google and book directly. However, when making a reservation, you need to provide a credit card. If you don't cancel a day in advance and don't show up, they will charge you 30 euros (if I read it correctly). 🍽️We ordered the recommended papadam pineapple chutney this time. It's a thin pancake fried with cumin seeds, very crispy. The taste is good on its own but a bit monotonous. With the pineapple chutney, the flavor gains several layers. The chutney itself is spicy, and the pineapple is sweet and sour, making the taste very rich. 🍽️The second dish was paneer roasted coconut masala. To be honest, I didn't know what it was. It's similar to a "meat tofu" made from tofu and chicken, with no strange flavors and very tasty with the sauce. The sauce has curry and some coconut milk, which is very delicious. Dipping papadam in this sauce is also very tasty, and the peanuts inside are crispy. Colombo chicken is three large pieces of fried chicken, served with a green sauce (the taste is familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on it). The fried chicken is crispy, with not much juice inside. It's still steaming when you break it open. Actually, I don't particularly like fried chicken. If I had known it was fried, I might have chosen something else, but this fried chicken is quite good. Friends who like fried chicken can order it. Finally, my favorite dish of the day was lamb massala. The lamb is stir-fried to be very fragrant, with almost no mutton smell, and served with a white sauce of yogurt and mint, which is very refreshing. I rarely eat lamb, but I highly recommend this dish. When you first sit down, they will provide a bottle of water, which will cost 6 euros. If you want to order other drinks, you can ask first. After the meal, there is also a dessert menu, but we were too full to order any desserts. Maybe we'll try something next time. 💰 The average cost per person is around 40 euros (we two with tips spent 88 today) #GermanLife #EuropeanLife #GermanDaily #BerlinDiscovery #BerlinLife #Berlin #BerlinFood #SriLanka #HiddenGemRestaurants #BerlinTravel
