🍽️ Every Carefully Picked Meal in Salt Lake City – Here’s What We Ate

📍 Pho 33 When one of your crew insists on pho as the first meal, you eat pho 😂 We ordered: Pho 33 (with oxtail) x2 Pho 34 (with ribs) x1 Egg rolls x1 The portions were HUGE – even the medium bowl was loaded with meat! 🐮 Rich, slightly sweet broth with thin noodles (not wide). The egg rolls were crispy and delicious! 💰 ~$20 per person – great value! 📍 KFC – The VERY First One! Yes, the same friend who’s obsessed with KFC’s spicy wings 🍗 We had to visit the world’s first KFC while we were here! The hot & spicy wings were close to the Chinese version, but the coating wasn’t crispy – a bit hard and oily 😕 But the fries were amazing – lightly cheesy, crispy, and addictive! We ended up grabbing Popeyes’ ghost pepper wings (BOGO deal) later 🥵 📍 Eva’s Bakery Time for a classy brunch! 🥐☕ Their croissants were PERFECT – flaky, soft, not greasy, with beautiful layers. Sandwiches served on chewy, fragrant baguettes – so good! We also got a chocolate croissant – pastry was excellent, but the chocolate was just okay 😅 The onion soup was meh, but coffee was rich and smooth. Even the pumpkin spice latte was well-balanced and cozy. 💰 ~$26 per person 📍 Jiang Nan Restaurant Hyped on Xiaohongshu – had to try it! Our friend’s inner “food investigator” came out 👀 Verdict: Sweet-leaning flavors, but delicious! Lamb soup: So comforting and warming 🐑 Braised pork belly: Sweet, tender, and flavorful Hand-torn cabbage: Well-cooked, no tough stems! Wok-fired fried rice: Fragrant, oily in a good way, huge portion! 💰 ~$30 per person (we over-ordered and took leftovers for late-night munchies) #SaltLakeCity #SLCFood #StudyInTheUS #TravelEats #SLCGuide #EatAroundTheWorld
