🖼️🌈 Explore Masterpieces in Munich for Just 1 Euro

📍 The Old Pinakothek in Munich houses thousands of works from over 1800 artists. You can spend an afternoon here journeying through art history from the Renaissance to Impressionism and Modernism. (The museum particularly focuses on Renaissance works!) Regular admission: 9 Euros (Student ticket: 6 Euros) Sunday admission: 1 Euro!!! (An incredible deal) Note: The museum is closed on Mondays. Must-see classics: ▪️ Leonardo da Vinci's "The Virgin with the Carnation" ▪️ Albrecht Dürer's "Self-Portrait at 28" (Truly, among Dürer's many self-portraits, this one is divine. "I, Albrecht Dürer from Nuremberg, depict myself at 28 with eternal colors.") ▪️ Peter Paul Rubens' "The Rape of the Daughters of Leucippus" (There's a dedicated Rubens hall on the second floor, filled with his works in a grand and imposing setting) ▪️ Gustav Klimt's "Portrait of Mrs. Wittgenstein" (Though Klimt's works are most abundant in Austria, encountering his art here was a delightful surprise, with the golden hues in the painting being incredibly beautiful) ▪️ Claude Monet's "Water Lilies" (Just how many water lily paintings did Monet make?) ▪️ Vincent van Gogh's "Sunflowers" (In addition to sunflowers, there are several of Van Gogh's landscape works highly recommended) Beyond these, there are works by Raphael, Titian, Manet, Gauguin, Cézanne, Picasso, Bosch, and many other famous artists! I really love this museum; after tiring from wandering, you can enjoy coffee inside the museum or bask in the sun on the large lawn outside. ⚠️Note: You need to check your bags before entering. Who doesn't love a low-key yet enjoyable art museum?! #Munich #MunichOldPinakothek #Germany #Europe #EuropeanArt #Art #DailyPainting #ArtMuseum
