❤️ Habitat 67: Montreal’s Hidden Heart of Brutalism ❤️🏙️
Stumbled upon Habitat 67 in Montreal—look down, find a ❤️! 📸🏙️Not usually a fan of Brutalism (cement-gray walls = 👎), but these LEGO-like cubes floating on the St. Lawrence River? 🔥💦 Built for Expo 67 as “homes of the future.” Clearly, we didn’t end up living in sci-fi cement boxes—just… boring ones. 😅 Still, the vibe’s nostalgic! People back then loved imagining wild futures. Now, their “future” is our retro window to the past. 🪟🕰️ 🪟🕰️Surprisingly, it’s still private residences, not a museum—pricey, I bet. But iconic look = tourist magnet. Living there? Probably overrated… 📸🏙️ 🏔️🤷Pics 1/2/3: aerial heart view! 4/7: full LEGO chaos. 5: cubes vs. Montreal skyline—south side views > Mount Royal! 🌆👀 6/9: South skyline panorama. Decent, but Mount Royal in the background? Too tiny to be “royal.” 🏔️🤷♂️ 🏔️🤷#Travel #Architecture #Montreal #Brutalism #DronePhotography
