🇨🇦 The BEST Restaurant I Discovered on My 2nd Montreal Trip!
On our way back to Toronto from Quebec City, we stopped at Restaurant Le Canal for Egyptian-style seafood – and it blew our minds! 🦞✨ 🍽️ The Experience • No reservation + Saturday rush = We got takeout (ate in the car). • Four seafood-loving Hainanese folks unanimously declared it "insanely fresh and flavorful!" • Boyfriend’s mom (a fishing village native) couldn’t stop raving – high praise! 🦐 What We Ordered ($60 for 3-4 people!) 1️⃣ Black Tiger Shrimps Jumbo, crispy-shelled prawns in a "spicy" (barely) garlic sauce. Juicy and addictive! 2️⃣ Fried Smelts Boyfriend’s mom’s pick: "Even cold, they’re crunchy perfection with lemon!" 🍋 3️⃣ Grilled Whole Sea Bass Fresh but meh: Lukewarm by pickup, so skin wasn’t crispy. Rice was dry – skip it. 📍 Location & Tips Restaurant Le Canal 4945 Boul. Saint-Jean, Pierrefonds, QC 🚗 Coming to Mississauga in November! ⚠️ Heads Up: • 40-min wait for takeout – but they forgot to call us, so food cooled. 😤 • Chaotic dine-in service (staff seemed overwhelmed). 🌟 Verdict 9/10 for flavor, 5/10 for service. If you’re sick of bland "white people food," this is your salvation – just prepare for delays! #MontrealEats #HiddenGems #SeafoodLover #FoodieFinds #CanadianFood
