🍽️🍺 Munich Traditional Bavarian Restaurant

A friend recommended this restaurant, and we tried it out. It was really good, so I'm sharing the recommendation here! 😊 It's about an 8-minute walk from Marienplatz. Main dishes are around 20-30 euros, but the portions are quite large. Must-order: 1L of beer (the mug is bigger than my face! 😅) priced at 10.65 euros. We ordered 2 servings of the House Special, which included a mix of traditional Bavarian dishes. Our German friend strongly recommended we try Haxe (pork knuckle) and sauerkraut (like German pickled cabbage), and since we both love meat, we ordered two servings. It's 29.9 euros per serving, and you have to order at least two servings. We couldn't finish it all because the portions are huge. The meat is quite fatty, but it goes really well with the sauerkraut and beer. It was delicious! They have all the basic German dishes, so even if you don't like such heavy food, you can try other options. You can check the menu on their website. Website: Augustiner-Klosterwirt The entire restaurant is quite large with two floors. Generally, no reservation is needed; if it's full, you can wait a bit and a table will become available. As it's a traditional restaurant, the atmosphere is quite lively. Everyone sits close together with a mix of conversation and laughter, which gives it a very German feel that we really enjoyed. *Tipping is customary in European restaurants. Unfortunately, I can't post a video here, but there's a restaurant video that didn't make it. 😢 #Munich #MunichFood #MunichRestaurantRecommendation #BavarianBeerRestaurant #GermanBeer #GermanRestaurant
