🏙️ Salt Lake City|Downtown Japanese-Style Bar
Newly opened restaurant — stopped by before a show to kill some time. The place is quite pretty, located in a prime downtown SLC spot. Prices are on the higher side, but sadly the quality doesn’t match up. 🍖 Yakitori (Japanese Skewers) Tried the beef and chicken skewers — just okay. Beef and shiitake in sweet soy glaze, chicken and scallion with salt seasoning. 🍣 Hanabi ❌ Avoid this one. The rice crispy base (like Shanghai-style ci fan gao) wasn’t crispy at all — chewy, sticky, almost stale, like it had been fried long ago and gone soggy. 🍲 Miso Cod One-note sweet miso flavor — got cloyingly sweet after a few bites. But don’t worry, the portion’s so small you’ll finish it quickly. 👨🍳 The sushi chef was a young guy from Latin America, so we skipped the sushi — didn’t seem like it’d be the most authentic experience. 🅿️ Parking: Convenient public parking nearby 💸 Per person: ~$70 🏮 Ambiance: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 📍 Aker 9 Exchange Pl, Salt Lake City, UT 84111 #SaltLakeCity #Utah #FallKitchenVibes #CarbsForWinter #BackToLifeFeast 🍶
